Data from ˿Ƶapp’s Spring 2024 semester reflect a steady upward trajectory in student enrollment, showing more than 13,500 students enrolled for the semester, an increase of nearly 400 students compared to Spring 2023. The number of full-time students enrolled at ˿Ƶapp jumped by 6%.

˿Ƶapp is experiencing its highest year-to-year retention rate in 10 years, indicating students are satisfied with the College’s academic programs and support services.

“We are thrilled to see so many students choosing ˿Ƶapp for their education,” said ˿Ƶapp President and CEO Leigh Goodson, Ph.D. “It's a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff and the effectiveness of the student support systems in place. We are proud to be a part of a community that values affordable, high-quality education.”

Moreover, ˿Ƶapp has experienced a notable uptick in total applications and students admitted, with an overall increase of about 10%. This encompasses admissions for first-time entering students, transfer students, and returning students who had previously stopped out.

“The steady increase in enrollment speaks volumes about the value and appeal of ˿Ƶapp's educational offerings and student services,” said Eileen Kenney, Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Retention. “We remain dedicated to providing a welcoming and enriching environment for all students, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to thrive academically and personally.”

Data show ˿Ƶapp’s dual enrollment program is growing in popularity, with about 3,000 high school students participating—an 8% increase from the previous year. Additionally, there was a 13% increase in students under 18 years old.

These figures come a year after ˿Ƶapp announced it was one of ten colleges chosen in the nation to participate in Unlocking Opportunity, a first-of-its-kind initiative from the Aspen Institute to evaluate post-graduation success to lead more students directly to jobs that pay a family-sustaining wage or to the efficient and effective completion of a bachelor’s degree.
